Marian Sevcik
Marian Sevcik (*1978) is one of the most influential Slovakian drummers of his generation. His performing and recording credentials feature participation in premier European Jazz ensembles, both small group and big band.
Marian studied percussion at the Zilina Conservatory of Music and Bratislava Conservatory of Music respectively (both Slovakia) before continuing his professional career.
Marian performed at jazz festivals in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain, France, Holland, Spain,USA.
Marian cooperated with great musicians over the years including Joel Frahm, Boris Kozlov, Igor Butman, Benito Gonzalez, Joel Frahm, Deborah Davis, George Mraz, Alex Sipiagin, Mary Stallings, Essiet Okon Essiet, Donny McCaslin.
In 2013 he participated in the recording of their new cd pianist Pavel Wlosok along with bassist Mike Holestein and tenor saxophonist Donny McCaslin in USA.
